About Our Community

Founded in 1929, our North Hills Estates community comprised of a dozen or so drives and circles, stands as one of the most desirable residential areas in Western Pennsylvania. Neighborhood residents offer loads of friendliness combined with strong neighborhood pride.

Approximately 518 homes, mostly brick and stone, reflect an array of traditional and mid-20th century architecture. From the community flower gardens highlighted by Ann Alison Hoover Memorial Park to the year-round activities hosted by the neighborhood’s civic association, North Hills Estates has it all. Natural beauty has been preserved in two ravines protected as bird sanctuaries where hikers are free to find their own way on nature walks surrounded by beauty that is unique to each season.

Bikers, joggers, and walkers follow courses that can range from a few turns around the circles — Madison or Monroe — to 4 or 5-mile workouts. Not unusual to hear kids counting fish at the community fishpond and neighbors with dogs or strollers visiting while moving through the neighborhood. Safe, friendly, comfortable, beautiful, totally unpretentious — North Hills Estates. Totally home.

“North Hills Estates remains a neighborhood strong in curb appeal with tree lined streets, sidewalks, well kept homes, bird sanctuaries, and a community park. As a resident I am surrounded by natural beauty right outside my door. Best of all, I have the smiling faces and helping hands of the many good people I call my neighbors.”
